to the Building Adaptive & Resilient Communities Tool
Today, the effects of climate change are being felt in communities across the country. These effects are set to become so pervasive that all levels of government and all sections of society will have a responsibility to become informed and to take appropriate action within their mandates to prepare for and adapt to them.
The Building Adaptive & Resilient Communities Tool has been designed to assist local governments with climate change adaptation planning. This interactive web-based tool takes users through the Five Milestone process outlined in the ICLEI Canada Changing Climate, Changing Communities: Guide and Workbook for Municipal Climate Adaptation. This tool is made up of a series of exercises designed to assist communities in adapting to the impacts of climate change through the development of a municipal climate change adaptation plan. For additional support with the Tool, Join the BARC Program.
